Aquariums - Seattle vs Vancouver?

Hi,
Anyone been to both? My boyfriend and I will be visiting both cities this summer and would like to see the best aquarium. Thanks.

Karla

Vancouver's is one of the top aquariums (aquaria?) in the world and is vastly superior to Seattle's. IMO.

I've only been to Seattle's and it is nothing spectacular imo.

I think the Seattle Aquarium is closed for remodel. At least I'm fairly sure it was that building I saw them taking a back hoe to.

That makes it easy!

Another vote for the Vancouver aquarium (and we live in Seattle). Take some time to walk around Stanley Park too.

The Seattle Aquarium is undergoing major renovations and expansions which will be done in 2008. It sounds like it WILL be a world class facility but as of now it is not.

We've been to both and prefer the Vancouver aquarium but really enjoyed the Seattle aquarium as well.

I've lived in Seattle for 15 years and I've seen both -- I say Vancouver. Hands down.

I've been to Vancouver's only, and the most memorable was watching the trained Beluga Whales, like watching a dolphin show, very unusual.

I live in Seattle as well, and I'd definitely say Vancouver if you're choosing one over the other. However, as lovesadventure mentions, Seattle's is under construction so hopefully we'll see some great improvements
