Anyone stayed at Pacific Beach Hotel in Honolulu?

I'll be spending a week in Hawaii in May (first trip). Two nites will be spent on Oahu. Pacific Beach Hotel has been recommended by one person I know. I can get a room for $125/nite with free parking which sounds like a pretty good deal. If anyone has stayed there I would appreciate your input with regard to hotel condition, service, room environment, beach, etc.

Didn't stay there, but walked by. It is not directly on the beach, but ac ross the street. In your price range, if it matters to you to be able to walk right from the hotel dirctly onto the beach, check out the Entertainment book rate for the Outrigger Waikiki; the rates are about $130 per night for a partial ocean view, but you do have to pay for parking. Wherever you stay, have a great time..I LOVE Oahu, including Waikiki; as well as the other islands.

You should love this hotel, my friends at work stay there almost every year. It has an aquarium in the middle of the hotel, in the dining area. I understand that my friends get a free brunch with there room you may want to inquire about this. I have been in it and plan to eat dinner there when we go in 2 weeks, we are already booked at another hotel. I understand the food is very good. I wouldn't worry about about being on the beach as it is right across from it, unless that is something you really want. This is our fifth trip. Our daughter did live there for several years. Have a great time!

The Pacific Beach is great. Only a few feet from the beach, so don't worry about location. It's a great hotel, a step above the Outrigger.

It is in a great location, close to all and just across the street from the beach. I would save money here and splurge on the other islands if your budget allows it. I know someone that stayed at the Sheraton Moanasurfrider and loved it-right on the beach. But it doesn't really matter on Waikiki because you are very close. Annemarie

I frequently stay at the Outrigger Prince Kuhio which is one street back. Recently renovated rooms and better prices. The Pac Beach has better restaurants but the room s are tired. The difference is 50 yards and better digs for less money.
