check mousesavers.com. in the transportation listings. although the website is devoted to everything Disney, I've used the rental codes for car rentals in other parts of FL and the US and they've worked fine.

Here is the response I got by emailing clubjefftravel@hotmail (seems to be a car rental expert).
"Go to Nationalcar.com and click on SPECIALS TO GO. Click on the coupon for $15 off weekly rate. Enter contract I.D. 6600335 (supermarket shopper discount). This is an e-coupon so you do not have to print anything out. Hope this helps."

Try www.rentalcodes.com
Also, if you are a Costco member, go to their website and check out the deals.
If you are AAA member, get a AAA Hertz discount card and try that.
Also, do an Orbitz search, it will give you a list of the prices for each rental car company before the extra discounts.
Priceline is also an option.

I agree with the two posts above recommending Priceline. We were recently in Charlotte and bid on a mid sized car for $16 per day and got it through Hertz. I am not sure that any of the discount codes will give you a better rate.

You can also go to Sidestep.com and the search engine will check rates for you.

Also, sometimes if you wait until the last minute, you might find some good deals. I wasn't planning to rent a car for my trip to a Miami resort, b/c the rental costs were outrageous for my 3 1/2 day rental. I just checked Alamo today, and they had last minute deals. It was much cheaper than my company's corporate rate. I am leaving for FL in 2 days, and I ended up booking the car today at a great price.
