Anyone know of Florida's Dania Beach Antique District & Restaurants/Tea Rooms?

Hi, I'm looking for anyone who has been to the Dania Beach Antique District in South Florida. This is supposed to be a stretch of road with over 100 antique shops. I can't seem to locate any websites with specific information, just that this place exists. A bunch of the websites seem to no longer exist.

I'm looking for exact directions and what you thought of this area. Would also love any suggestions about favorite restaurants and/or Tea Rooms for a nice lunch.

Thanks so much for any help.

I don't know about 100, but there are shops. They must be pretty independent owners, because I never managed to catch any of them open when passing through Dania, usually late Saturday or mid-day Sunday. Plan on trying mid-day, weekdays. I think Dania is a bit run down, but has some quaint areas.

To: arizonadesertdog,
Hi, thanks for the information. That might help explain why all the websites seemed to no longer exist. Thanks again.

If anyone else has any more information it would be appreciated.

There are a lot of them, and they are mainly right on US 1, the main drag through Dania Beach (the town formerly called Dania). They are NOT along A1A which actually goes along the beach.

Thanks for clearing that up, Patrick. I could see myself on the wrong road and wondering where all the stores are supposed to be.

Do you happen to know when they are mostly open? From the previous poster it doesn't sound as if the weekends are a good time to visit.
