Anyone been to Seacrest Resort in Cape Cod (North Falmouth)??

I was wondering if anyone has been to this resort in Falmouth, MA. Would appreciate anyone's impressions of it--also, is the ocean front room worth it, vs. the standard (which is in a different building, away from the beach). Thanks!

Yes, I had the terrible misfortune to stay at the Seacreat for four days about 10 years ago. The food was inedible. The schedule was boring (unfortunately it rained every day, so they showed us kid films at 9 a.m.). The beach was marginal. There were no other restaurants near us ... and all the dishes were koshur. To top it off, out of sheer boredom, I entered a suffleboard contest, and actually got to the finals where I faced a 12-year old (who parents and grandparents were there to cheer him on and disparage me). To make a long story short, I tried every way imaginable to throw the match, but that mean little heathen actually lost ... which meant I had to attend the tournament ceremonies where I was presented with a Seacrest t-shirt. I despised every aspect of the rotten place, and it makes me depressed to learn you're going. I'd hoped some act of nature had made a mid-course correction and blown that abomination out to sea. Other than that, it was a terrific place and we loved it. Don't do it ... find another place. Failing that, be sure to have a rental car ... so you can escape at mealtime. Get ready for possibly the vacation from Hell!!! Ciao

Leone--why did you think the beach was horrible? It looks very nice from the website. What about the quality of the rooms?? What room type did you stay in, and what was it like? (aka, standard, pool view, ocean view, etc.)

Kayla, I noticed you've asked for help to locate a good beach place on Cape Cod. I am NO expert on that area ... perhaps someone can help you. I can only tell you about this really awful Seacrest where we stayed for four days. I just couldn't wait to get back to Boston ... if my partner had not been in a conference, I've have gone back without her. The Seacreat was a third-rate place ... the rooms were just so-so. The beach was just grey sand ... not nice, not clean. The entire place was threadbare. The food was the absolute worst I've ever eaten at any resort. It was tasteless. The place was overrun with spoiled, noisy kids ... it seems basically a family place, and just not that relaxing ... everything geared to kids. Perhaps in the time since we were there they have rehabilitated the place ... it supposedly had this great reputation, but it was the Vacation from Hell from day one. We have often cursed this place!!! If I were you, I'd get some other options ASAP. Ciao

I have spent most of my summers in North Falmouth and have seen the Seacrest change tremendously over the years. Many years ago it was a nice resort that had sort of a Catskills kind of style to it. Now it seems pretty sleazy as far as the other visitors there. However, it is still on the same beach which is very nice. If you are used to huge California beaches or the like, you may be disappointed because it is not that big but the water is always calm and extremely clean. I haven't stayed there so I don't know what the rooms are like. there is always a big crowd at the beachfront bar listening to music if that is your scene. It is not what I would call elegant or discrete but if you want a good beach and to relax it is fine. I have no idea what the prices are but I would suspect that it is much cheaper than some of the fancier Cape Cod resorts liek the Chatham Bars Inn. As for your question about the rooms, I'm sure the view is better from the beachfront room but the other buildings are still right by the beach and probably quieter.
