Anyone been through Hartsfield since the 8/10 London arrests?

Wondering how bad the security lines were and how much time I should leave to get to my flight? Thanks.

Check the airline airport. Security line wait has been as short as 10 minutes. The website will give current wait times as well as amount of time to get there before your flight.

I was there at 6am on Monday and it took about 45 minutes to get thru security and to the gate. The security lines were moving, but just many, many people. They did have some TSAs directing people as to which line to get in, etc.

Went through Sunday morning. Took no longer than usual. Theoretically if TSA has additional things to check for (liquids etc...) the security should take longer. However, my observation is that TSA isn't working any harder than usual. They're just focusing their attention on different things. I will stop there.

Will add that airport check-in lines were longer due to more people checking bags (and not wanting to pay curbside fees).

Went through on Friday morning Aug 11 and Saturday morning early Aug 19. On Friday 11th there were 5-10 minute lines to check bags at DL kiosks and the main security check stretched the length of the chutes. However, we went to T-gates security and walked right through.

On Friday 11th, 10+ minutes to get bag checked at DL kiosk although fewer people (technical problem?), then main security entrance took 5-10 minutes.

I went through for an 8:00 a.m. flight on Tuesday, 8/15. The lines were the same as they are any Tuesday morning. During the summer, there is a combination of business and leisure travelers. By this time, the majority knew the drill. The line moved like it normally would. No problems. There is not a need to be there 3 hrs ahead as rumored. 1 1/2 - 2 hours would work. I actually had about 1 hour to enjoy breakfast at Paschals before my flight and still be at the gate 45 minutes before boarding.

Since I went through last night, I thought I'd update. Security ran extremely quickly and smoothly. The lines were short and moving well. No real hangups.

If the lines are long, though, you can always walk to the T-gates and go through security there.

Now the lines at the only bar on my concourse -- that's another story!
