Any word from La Boheme previews?

Did anyone see it this past weekend? I have tickets for next weekend and was wondering how this past weekends performances went...

My daughter and I were in NYC this past weekend and saw the Friday night show. We thought it was wonderful. It was a full house and by the look of things others shared our opinion. They were still working out some of the kinks regarding scene changes but the performers were great. I don't know which cast you will see, this one starred Wei Huang as Mimi and Ben Davis as Roger. I particularly liked Chloe Wright in the role of Musetta.

Interestingly my daughter (11) preferred it to the Prince and the Pauper which we saw Sat. afternoon.

Hope you enjoy the show as much as we did!

This morning's Washington Post also raved about it. Go to the Style section in the Print Edition at www.washingtonpost.com to check it out.

Saw it and it was wonderful. Don't know why they are touting it as a broadway show though, it is an opera. Worth seeing. A really excellent production.

It was also "talked-up" on the Today show this morning as some of the hosts had seen it and really enjoyed it. I believe that tomorrow morning (12/10) there will be a feature about the opera on the show - worth watching to catch a quick "preview"

The Broadway production is similar to a production he and his wife staged at the Sydney Opera over 10 yrs ago. That version was shown on PBS, and it was excellent. It is also on DVD, so you can buy the Sydney Opera version.

Our Australian papers today are full of the praise heaped on the production by the American critics - which is great to see.
