Any info on Beaver Creek
I'll be going to Beaver Creek in February. I don't know anything about Beaver Creek does anybody want to give me their opinion on the town--stores, restaurants, things to do and see (beside skiing). We'll be staying at the Hyatt. Thanks for your help.

We couldn't get lodging at the Hyatt, but stayed at the Embassy Suites (some kind of Lodge?) across the way from it. It is a beautiful place...ice rink in the evening, specialty shopping, etc. Lots of good restaurants also. We loved it there. It has a real European feel.

I haven't skied Beaver Creek in about 3 years, but have been there for the past three summers. I believe they have expanded the ski runs to connect with Arrowhead to the west. You can also ski Vail on the same lift ticket. There are shuttle buses available to transport you to Vail from Beaver Creek. The Hyatt is the primo place to stay in Beaver Creek. The village of Beaver Creek has some shops, art galleries and restaurants but do make a trip to Vail for an evening out or a day of shopping. There are lots of art galleries and shops in Vail.

In the evening be sure to check out the fire circle - great place to meet folks and make smores - don't forget to bring the fixin's.
I stayed at the Inn at Beever Creek which I adore - so cozy. But the Hyatt sure looked nice.
Make time for shopping in Vail too!

I don't know the Charter Hotel, but I've stayed at the Hyatt in September. It is very reasonable in the fall and it is a wonderful, calm, colorful time to enjoy the ambiance of the mountains. Beaver Creek is a very high-end destination and if you want to enjoy it without busting your budget, you've picked a great time to go, Bonnie. Happy Trails!

Beaver Creek is a Beautiful area. We stayed in the area with 2 families with 4 kids. We had a great time. Just in case your interested... The Beaver Creek ski school is excellent for kids and adults. Your also not far from Vail. Nice also to shop, walk around and take a Gondola ride. Lot's of restaurants, shops. They also have Fun night tubing and Scenic ice skating at the top of the mountain.
There are a few nice Italian restaurants right in town. It's a very easy area to get around.

I realize you are already back from your trip but maybe this will be help others.
I know you were asking about Beaver Creek, but my favorite place to stay is in Vail at the Sonnenalp (much more intimate than the Hyatt)! absolutely upscale! amazing spa with outdoor pool 365 days a year! great Swiss restaurant on property! walking distance to Vail shopping and restaurants. there is a free shuttle between Vail and Beaver Creek.

Stayed at the Hyatt last summer in Beaver Creek. Quite frankly, I wasn't impressed. Beaver Creek was gorgeous and I would go back there in a moment, but the Hyatt was definitely not worth the expense! Seemed as though there were other places that were just as nice if no nicer. Wouldn't recommend it except that it was a good location.
