Any good moderate restaurants in Palm Desert?
Hi - We'll be in Palm Desert in February and while we like to have a night or two with fine dining, we mostly like casual, good, moderate priced places. Any suggestions?
Thanks, sue

You might try Daily Grill for lunch or dinner. For breakfast or burger type lunch, Keedy's. Lunch, Charley's grilled subs at the Westfield mall. Sammy's woodfired pizza. the Gardens El Paseo.
Besides Yard House, there is also a Cheesecake Factory and a PF Changs at The River in Rancho Mirage.
In Indio, I would suggest Rosamarillo's for Mexican.

In Palm Desert on 111 (the main Highway) is a shopping center called Desert Crossing. It is where the Target is. Next to the Old Navy is a small Mom and Pop Italian Trattoria run by a real Italian family called La Bella Cucina. It is very good. The best marinara sauce, fabulous eggplant parmesan, roast chicken and other selections. Very reasonable and they have take out. They also own an upscale restaurant in Palm Springs called Riccios. I love it and eat there often b/c it is the real thing. Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly effecient service and very fair prices. I can usually get a fantastic lunch for one for under $12. You can also sit outside.
Also check out Baja Fresh for a quick taco/burrito meal that is reasonable (in the River) and I do think there is a Rubios somewhere.
In and Out Burger on in Palm Desert is always good for a quickie.
There is also a Roys Asian fusion restaurant across from the River, which is always good. Heavy on the seafood. Maybe a little more upscale than you want.
There is finally quite a few good food choices in Palm Desert.
