I can choose one more city in Italy to visit besides Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, and Pisa. Where else should I go?

I think you need to ask this on the Europe board, not the US one.

Skip Milan (and personally I'd skip Pisa too) and go to Lugano (across the border), the Amalfi Coast, and Capri.

try disney world and get a life.

Maybe a smaller town in Tuscany like Siena? or a few days in the country? what season? maybe the beach on the liguarian coast or amalfi? Bologna is supposed to be great for food. Of course you need to see the leaning tower of pisa-- who wouldn't understand that!

Apparently, people who have never gone beyond Disney World would not understand that.

Lucca, Lucca, Lucca. In Tuscany. Forget Milan and Pisa. Spend a night in Lucca, visit Volterra the next day, and then head on to Florence.

Just yesterday PBS broadcasted their "visions of Italy northern style" show. They also have a tape of Italy. I would suggest this to anyone going. I would try to buy the tape if you can't find the show.

All the cities that you mention are quite large. For me the cities in Italy that best capture Italian charm are smaller. I love Milan but I shop a lot when I go. I was just in Florence in early November but I found I did not really appreciate this city until well after 4-5 days. Just too large to take in, kind of overwhelming and I live in NYC.

Naples/Pompeii is neat. Was there as a teenager, & enjoyed the tour of the ruins of Pompeii.

I've always wanted to check out Cremona, because I'm a violinist & would like to see the shops. Also looks like a charming town.
