Annapolis~day trip and restaurant

Please recommend a good restaurant in ANnapolis for West COast folks going to Maryland for a 4 day family weekend. The group will have a 12 year old and my 80+ yr
in-laws. I thought a walk around the historic district and a nice lunch somewhere. Any high points?

I highly recommend Carrol's Creek. It is across the river from downtown, and the views of the Naval Academy and the historic downtown are great. I believe they have a website.

Hey! You beat me to it! It is my favorite Annapolis restaurant. They have great parking -- important as on the otherside of the creek that's hard to find. If, for some reason, you get there early, there's a place across the street (from where you turn onto the side street leading to CC's parking) that specialized in classic cars (I think it's Cherner's Classic Cars.) We spent about an hour one afternoon a couple months ago just looking over the gorgeously restored cars from the 50s and 60s. But truly, Carroll's Creek is a real good choice. The food is excellent, there's a nice, inexpensive wine list, and the desserts are WOW!

There are many restaurants in Annapolis where you can find mediocre food -- you won't find that here.

PamSF, Carroll's Creek is nice, but for lunch, we like Rams Head Tavern. It's also a favorite of the Midshipmen.

Had Sunday brunch there last month. Their Eggs Benedict topped with Maryland Blue Crabmeat was to die for. They also have great microbrew.

Since we're talking about nice lunch places in Annapolis anothr great one is Harry Browne's on State Circle - you can eat inside or outside. There's also a lot of good restaurants on Main Street like Galway Bay - Irish pub and O'Briens, Middletons. Middletons, Harry Brown's, and RamsHead all have sidewalks cafes too. Carrolls Creek is right on Spa Creek and looks out at the Annapolis Yacht Club and part of the Naval Academy.

If you'd like a great dinner spot - then I'd recommend Northwoods, Mezannotte's, and Yellow Fin Tuna as they're all really good.

Hope you enjoy your trip. As to high points you can check out the State House, Wm Paca Gardens, Church Circle and State Circle, the Academy, Sandy Point State Park to name a couple.
