Ann Arbor hotels

Our daughter will be attending U. Michigan and we are looking for hotel recommendations in Ann Arbor for various visits. Thank you.

It depends on if you want to be close to campus or if you don't mind driving about 10-15 mins. I stay in ann arbor for business quite a bit and get my rooms on priceline for about $35 ($45 with fees). If you go online and check prices on travelocity.com, etc....you'll pay anywhere from $80 a night up.

So, how close to campus would you like to stay AND

how much would you like to spend?

We are flexible on price, depending on the quality of the hotel, but do want to be fairly close to campus, i.e., within 5 minutes or so if that's not unreasonable. Thanks.

First of all, congrats to your daughter. Go Blue!

The nicest hotel right on campus is the Bell Tower Hotel.

Campus Inn is also right on campus.

And I think either the Michigan Union or the Michigan League has some rooms in it.

The next place I'd probably stay is out by Briarwood Mall. There are a few nice places out there, but you will have to drive in and park, which can be hard to do.

And there are a few b&bs that you might want to try. I have no experience with them.

Check tripadvisor for reviews on all these places.

Just know that football weekends book up waaaaay in advance, so get yourself a schedule:
