237 miles from Anchorage to Denali Park.
Don't forget you'll want to stop along the way for walks and photos.
Don't forget to get the gas and groceries in Wasilla
We stopped in Talkeetna. Cute place if you have an extra hour or want to break up the trip with lunch.

I always recommend allowing 6 hours, with brief stops. You can NOT count on the road being full going at 60mph, on this 2 lane road. You can expect slower traffic, construction, etc..
I never suggest considering tight timeframes in Alaska, just not likely to be met. And it's dangerous to get behind and thinking you are going to make it up. The Park Highway, overall has few services.
Allow some extra time for the ad lib stuff that happens and enjoy the ride.

Just got back from Alaska, and drove the Anchorage-Denali trip yesterday.Took 5 and a half hours (not including our stops). Roads are good. It was sunny two weeks ago and took five hours, and very rainy yesterday, so took longer.
Gorgeous view of Mt. McKinley on the sunny day when approaching Talkeetna (worthwhile stop on the way). This is better view of Mt. McKinley than at Denali.
Some construction allowing only one way traffic in one area, with only a small
delay (less than 10 minutes).
