Has anyone stayed there or know the neighborhood?

I'm booking a place for my wife for one night..just for a business meeting.

The area is okay, but near noisy route 4, you'd want a room near the back. Also the hotel has been sold to Hyatt so who knows how the service is right now and what kind of noisy renovations have been going on.
I have stayed at Amerisuites in Secaucus and the area/hotel was fine.

Never stayed here but area is great for shopping.

Along route 4 close to AmeriSuites there is the Garden State Mall,Loehmanns, Ikea, Bed Bath and Beyond and the Christmas tree shop. Further down Rt 4 there is the Bergen mall which has Century 21, Saks Off 5th, Marshalls and a Gap outlet. Shopping is great in Paramus along Rt 17 and Rt4. But of course you need a car if you want to shop! Enjoy your stay.
