I booked a Cancun vacation for our family of 5 a couple of years ago thru AA vacations-the price was the best I could find, and everything went very smoothly-no problems at all.

Booked a trip to Vail ... hotel and air and airport transfers. Was also able to get trip cancel insurance this way. They had the best deal for the hotel I was interested in. Got a nice trip packet with all the information ... everything went well. Booked another trip to Cancun, but had to cancel ... glad I got the trip cancelation insurance ... got a prompt refund for our deposit (less the amount we paid for the insurance of course).

I have booked 2 trips to the Caribbean thru AA and had great experiences both times.
They can negotiate very good deals thru certain properties.
All vouchers for accom. and transport. were accepted with no problems, and I got some really nice vouchers for future travel along with the tickets when they came.
(Now, if I could just get them to stop losing my luggage.)

Also have taken trips through aavacations and never had any problems - can get great rates when you do their air/hotel combos and would not hesitate to use them yet again.

I find that it varies. AAVacations may have the best price one time, USAirvacations may have the best price the next, Expedia the next, and so on. Best to check them all and even go so far as to run your best web price past a travel agent to see if they can beat it. You never know.

So far I've booked two Las Vegas trips through AA Vacations, the last one a couple of weeks ago for early July. We got a good deal: roundtip airfare from San Jose and 2 nights at the Harrah's for $182 per person.
