You may have to park a little ways off. I thought they had built a new parking garage last year, but can't remember. We like to Stay in Addison (north Dallas). It isn't to far from AA Arena. La Quinta Inn there in Addison is really nice and offers decent breakfast for a freebie. They usually have weekend rates of 59.

Addison is a pretty far drive to the AA Center. If you want to avoid the high-priced downtown hotels, look along the I-35 corridor. There are a ton of restaurants at 35 and Northwest Highway, and several hotels. This would put you 20 minutes from the AAC, too.

Parking is plentiful at the AAC. There are several garages and lots of surface parking. It's about $15 a car...

Dallas traffic is always heavy. On concert nights it creeps. You wouldn't avoid slow arrival even if you are staying downtown. Make time and live with it just like the locals.

You might want to check the DART schedule to see if you can take the train there. You could stay further out from downtown and not have the hassle of traffic and parking.

We don't stay downtown, but we stay on I-35 within a 5 min drive of AA center...Here are a couple of nice hotels...Marriott Suites and also the Renaissance by Marriott..very nice properties..they are right across the freeway from each other...very easy to get to AA center...Enjoy your stay!

There is definitely some public transportation options to the AA Center - DART or TRE.

DART goes all the way up to Richardson, so you really have a lot of options.

I would pick the new Marriott in Richardson, which is right on the light rail DART line. Then, just ride DART into the arena to see the concert.

I would advise that you take the DART to the concert. You can get off at the Mockingbird Station and there are several good restaurants there for dinner. Then get back on DART and go to the AA Center. Much easier than fighting the traffic. A DART day is the $5. On/off as many times as you want.
