curious...can anybody figure out how the southern couple got stuck in the mud. looked to me like they were quite a ways off the road. maybe they were trying to do a short cut.

I believe the southern couple had gotten help from a local who got them into the mud.

Last night's changes in placement were interesting. Between the flat tire, stuck in the mud, lost helmet and engine troubles I kept losing track of the order.

I'm glad to see the race head to Asia first this season. Going to SA first was becoming predictable. Can't wait to see next week's locales.

I am a huge A. Race fan. All of these couples seem like they are going to be a lot of fun to watch. I WAS impressed with Sarah in the first show, but last night it was like OMG quit complaining. The guy she is with is a jerk !!! Yeah the show thing for $$$ was ove rthe top.
I love the beauty queens, father and dughter and the coalminer and wife, tom and terry are good too. Loved watching him do that arrow, it was too funny. But, then again he made it in that bowl thing and was not last place!
Can not wait till next week!

I'm rooting for Tom and Terry. When my husband and I were on the Amtrak train coming home from NYC, we met Terry on the train. He was really nice and said that they had a fun time on the show.

Peter is like a coach who makes himself look better by pushing his player. Its like he's pushing his prosthetics career. I turned it off last night because I couldn't stand the damn thing any longer. Don't know who lost and don't care.

We saw The Story of the Weeping Camel just a few weeks ago. When I saw the homes they had to take down on AR, I recognized them immediately from the film. I agree that it's a very sweet story.

For those of you who want to expand your selection of foreign films, I recommend NetFlix. We've seen lots more good foreign films from the recommendations we receive, and the browsing we do, through that site.

Off subject again... (I can't seem to stay on track with ANYTHING today!)

Klam_chowder & Paucie, I just posted a thread on the Movies, Music, Books board about foreign/indie/obscure movies. Care to add anything you've seen recently? Anyone else?

AnnMarie_C - don't you think it's good to learn "I love you" in every language?? That way, if I innocently offend someone, I can soften it by telling them I love them! Ha ha! I actually learned "I love you, my prince" in Mongolian so I could say it in front of 100+ people at my wedding. It's "Bi Chamd Khartai, Minii Hanhuu" in case anyone really wants to know.)

"don't you think it's good to learn "I love you" in every language?? That way, if I innocently offend someone, I can soften it by telling them I love them!" Exactly!!!!

local: you ran over my foot.
you: I love you!

Who can get mad at that?!? lol!

Really, how sweet and thoughtful to learn I Love You in Mongolian for your wedding.

sweetsailing, I think Tracy2 is saying she doesn't have faith that Team Kentucky will last much longer, however, please correct me if I'm wrong! By the way, it's too late I'm already attached! ;-)

I forgot about this forum for the last season but as you can see I'm back. I'm so excited. I am a total addict of TAR.

I can't stand team prosthetic. Her use of it as a crutch for the game, but not wanting to be treated differently is annoying. Unlike Meerta (I can't remember the dwarf from TAR7) who really just wanted to be treated the same.

I'm with AnnMarie on the Go Team Kentucky - I love them. I know they're not really much of a hopeful but I love their innocence. I think that's a really fresh thing - they're embracing of all the experiences, even though they've never been exposed to any of it. I loved the gays/asians comment.

Well glad to be back on the forum and part of a group that enjoys it as much as me. My boyfriend tolerates about a half hour of each show lol.

I saw a tv show from Japan some years ago where a reporter had gone into an isolated "commune" in Mongolia. The reporter had heard about this small society of people that only knew good and nothing of evil. When the reporter found the group, they were living in a very primative manner and very isolated and cut off from the outside world. The people knew nothing about hatred, jealousy, anger, or other negative attributes. Everyone was pleasant, happy, laughing, and positive all of the time. They still live on dirt floors in caves and hunt for their food just as their ancestors have done for centuries. Could such a society still exist today? I think the film I saw was dated around 1992.

Kimberly and boyfriend are super annoying and argue way too much.

Sarah is over the top and talks about her disability incessantly.

Love the KY couple- they are surprisingly progressive and open minded.

My favorite team is the brothers. They seem extremely positive and even keeled.

The male model team and the beauty pageant teams do nothing for me. The boyfrend team whine a lot and freak out easily.
