Austin Hotels for wedding guests near St. Ignatius Church

Need hotel for a large wedding to be held in August 2014 at St. Ignatius Church. The wedding reception will be downtown Austin on East 4th St. Does anyone have suggestions for hotels that offer a block of rooms for the wedding guests?

Most chain or larger hotels will do this. Whats the budget? Austin has several well situated between St. Ignatius (on Oltorf?) and E. 4th.

Here's my short list:
Hyatt Place Downtown
Hilton
Hampton Inn
Mariott Courtyard Convention Center

All of these are near the convention Center on or aroudn 3rd st.

Yes, the church is on Oltorf. The event hotel has offered $200 in a block rate. Many young attendees need something more resonable. The best I could find was Embassy Suites (which people really seem to like) at $179.

Thanks Austin! (Did you notice that we both replied at the exact same time? What are the odds!)

I think the Embassy is in a great location. I don't know what time of year but that might be about as good as you can get in the area. Otherwise the hotels along the interstate might be cheapest (Days Inn, Motel 6, etc) but not very convenient. Embassy might be good for some who can share a room and split the costs.

Thanks for the suggestion. There's a Hilton Garden Inn on I35 that I'll check. Will also ck your Marriott idea.

Austin, FYI, Hyatt Place Downtown (sadly) does not hold blocks of rooms, although they will give a %10 discount at the going rate on the day the reservation is made. The Hampton Inn & Marriott Courtyard Convention Center
are sold out that weekend due to a large conference at the center. The Hilton Garden Inn offered $209. Thanks for your input!
