I will be going to Hawaii in June, (I plan WAY ahead for my vacations!) and called AAA to see if they get discounts on flights. She said "not really, we get just what the airlines download to everyone." Gee, I'll let my own fingers do the walking and save their 12.95/ticket service fee for my trip!

Current Honolulu to Kona fares are:
$74 each way, mon -thurs, $77 fri-sun.
AAA discount is 10%. You can change flight days without penalty
Certain flights are $55 each way, but must be booked one week in advance, and have cancellation penalties.
You can also buy a book of 5 tickets for $300. (price good till 1/31, not sure after that)These are good on any flight, one per flight. You can sell or give them away if you don't need all 5.

Both Aloha & Hawaiian are offering inter-island fares of $49.99 plus tax, one-way. You might check each airlines website for info on these fares, Aloha calls theirs FLEX and Hawaiian Z-FARE. I just purchased tickets on Aloha for March, Honolulu-Lihue-Kona-Honolulu for $162 incl tax, per person, which I thought was a pretty good deal.
