Alaska Travel/Where to stay near Denali National Park

I am planning a trip to Alaska for four adult couples. We are primarily hikers and wildlife viewers. We can't afford the prices for the Denali lodges deep in the park and Glitter Gulch seems an unattractive alternative. Can any experienced Alaska traveller or native suggest a lodge or b and b which is near enough to the Park to make access reasonably easy and yet, secluded. Our budget goal is about $300 per day for food and lodging.
I have located Evensong and Denali Dome b and b's. If anyone is familiar with them, please tell me about them.
Thanks.

Try Denali Bluffs Hotel (www.denalibluffs.com). It's a hotel rather than a lodge or B&B, but is within your price range and very close to the park.

I second the Denali Bluffs. I stayed there and enjoyed the hotel.

Try the Denali Lakeview Inn (www.denalilakeviewinn)between Denali and Healy. It's a lovely B&B with lots of room and reasonable prices. Sits on Otto Lake and most rooms have a deck. We had a great stay there.
