alaska ferry
Trying to decide between the 2 berth roomette and a 4 berth cabin on the kennicott sailing from sitka to prince rupert. Was told there are no 2 berth cabins. We are just the two of us.
Anyone have experience with these two options on the kennicott. What are the trade-offs ?
Since we have never been in the ferry before - are the public rest rooms and showers clean ?
thanks a lot !

I stayed in 4 berth on the Kennicott and just loved it. There is nothing to the roommettes except beds. You even have to rent blankets. If you don't mind sharing a bathroom and are trying to save money, do the roomette. For a little more luxury, get the 4 berth. My shower had great water pressure.

We had a 4 berth cabin on the Columbia for the 3 of us. There is not enough headroom to sit up on the bunk. We had brought folding bag chairs with us and used them in the cabin when we wanted to read and/or eat in privacy. I hate reading lying down but otherwise it was a great cabin. We had a private bathroom w/shower.
