Alamo drop off in downtown Denver?

We are dropping our Alamo rental car off in Denver after a longish driving holiday from a San Antonio pick-up. Currently our drop-off is at the airport. As we are leaving Denver on Amtrak for Sacramento, we'd prefer a downtown drop off.

Does anyone know if Alamo has a downtown depot in Denver?

Why don't you just ask Alamo? Seems to me that they are ones to know where their drop off points are.

I checked their website. It doesn't look like it.
But call them to make sure. If they do, sometimes a change in drop off location will have an impact on the rate so you'd want to talk to someone to check on that too.

Yeah! I could call them. But! From Australia, with the run around you usually get from call centres!!! I thought I'd try this forum, hoping a friendly local might know the answer.

Thanks. Looks like no-one knows.

It might have been helpful to let us know that you were not in the US. Secondly most friendly and even unfriendly locals seldom rent in their home town.

Are you staying the night in Denver? If so, why not go ahead with the airport drop off - see if your hotel has an airport shuttle to its location from the airport.

P.S. Another idea if you're staying the night and no shuttle - cabs can be expensive. Swing by your hotel first - drop off luggage - drop off car at the airport and then take the Bus (Skyride) to a downtown drop off spot. It's inexpensive and there's a counter in the Denver airport for RTD (the bus company there) that will help you.

the reason oyu can't find one is that there isn't one

one trick if oyu want to find out alternate pickup or dropoff points..start to make a dummy make a booking..that showed only denver location is in the airport

Hi obione980 -

I find it hard to believe that Alamo has only one location in all of Denver, but I looked too and I could only find the one at the airport.

If it's important to drop off your car downtown, you might consider booking with another company. Enterprise has 24 locations in the Denver metro area, Avis has five, Budget has eight and Dollar has three.

Good luck!
