Alamo Car Rental

Does anyone have experience with this company in Vegas? Just rented a car with them and need any inside info that may be availble. I chose them because I want to reny w/ debit card and they were one of the few to accept it for car pick-up.I know the rate is a little higher than others but I need to use debit and that can be a problem. If anyone has used them please respond and let me know what you thought. Thanks in advance

They're fine...they recently merged with National.

Get good directions for returning the car however, as their location is out-of-the-way and some people get lost trying to get back there.

Re-book asking for Rate Code YQ and you might get a better discount.

Joesorce-
Thanks for the rate code information. I just used the code to modify a reservation I have with Alamo and saved a few dollars. How do you find this discount rate code?

I have recommended www.rentalcodes myself in the past, but what's up with them? I was looking at it just this week. Here it is mid March and half the codes they list ended in December or January. In fact few were still valid. I even tried several and simply got "no longer valid".
I've more recently found much better deals on www.rentalcars.com
