Alamo at FLL

I got reservations with alamo in Ft. Lauderdale. I read through an extremely long post on how terrible they can be. Is it true?
Should I find something different? Am I going to have to have a lawyer with me when I return the car??

I have used Alamo and Payless in FLL and didn't really have any problems with either. We have used Payless on our last four trips to FLL because their rates were always much better. Good luck.

I used Alamo. Never again. Lines were long, service sucked etc. I usually rent from Avis there.

I usually rent through Alamo when I fly back home and rent a car (hate to try to wrestle the family wheels away from dad) and I have not had any significant problems with Alamo. National, on the the other hand, is a completely different story. I usually check out the Alamo line in the airport. I seem to have better luck there. Returning has never been a problem for me, at least. Just make sure to examine the car before driving off the lot and make sure it's noted on your rental contract. Too many people neglect to do that and don't notice damage until after they leave the rental car lot.

I rent all the time, they are all the same, and never had a problem with Alamo.

Avis is the best no doubt, but also tend to be a bit more.

Discount is the cheapest.

I always use National (Emerald Isle) in Ft. Lauderdale & think they are the best!
