We haven't rented from them in a while, but for a few years in a row we used their cars without any problems.

I rented from Thrifty at FLL in Dec. and it went better than I had anticipated.

I arrived around midnight and caught the Thrifty shuttle to the office which was small, but the staff was pleasant. Ya may want to do that Blue Chip express rental thing just in case it is busier when you arrive as I think even in peak hours the office is too small to accomodate much staff or renters.

Returning the car was a bit tricky iirc. The signage sucked but if ya follow the signs for Hertz you should be ok.

have a great trip!

I rented the $199/wk convertible special. You get a Sebring. I asked about other models such as a Mustang and got the impression, they would charge an upgrade fee. Matter was moot as only Sebrings were available.

We rented with Thrifty in FLL - agree with previous poster - its tricky to find the entrance when returning the car. We had no real problems, in fact we got a great deal. We had rented a cheapo compact which they we out of - and the thrifty guy waved at his depleted inventory and said "just take whatever you want". I think he was having a hard day.
