Airport question if you please...

For those who have recently traveled, will I be able to have water to take my pills after going through security and not yet boarding the plane. Usually, we go through security early, then hang out at the gate. I heard you should be able to get water there, but must dispose of it before getting on the plane. Thanks, Jan

Yes, as long as they sell water someplace in the airport after security.

Exactly right. I had to do the same thing. Wasn't a problem getting something on the other side of security though.

When we got on the plane August 18 (to fly from San Francisco to Philadelphia non stop), 2 people had bottles of water right in front of the flight attendant and nothing was said. The flight attendant also had a cup of coffe he had bought in the airport. So, they are obviously not too concerned!

Wouldn't there be a water fountain (perhaps by the restrooms) in the secure area? It seems to me there always is..if memory serves me right.
And all bars, cafes would have water. I don't know which airport you will be using though.

Basically every airport, every concourse in US airports have restaurants/stores between security and the gate. Except at Kansas City (MCI), and really small airports.
