Advice about Midway Airport-Chicago

Are you really sure you want to drive? Exactly how much luggage are you bringing? Because it would be a lot easier to take the AmTrack to downtown, then grab the El to Midway (or even a cab, for that matter).
If you MUST drive, remember that Chicago has sucky traffic, all the time (OK, maybe not 3 am on a Sunday, but that's when all the truckers go through). I assume you're going to bypass the city? Or do you plan to take 94 straight through?
Traffic on 55 won't be THAT bad (compared with 94), but getting there will be tricky.
Parking? I don't know what they've done since they built the new terminal. Check for a Website... But they don't have nearly the parking O'Hare does.
Good luck!

Heavens! All these negative responses. I live in Chicago and travel through both airports all the time. The traffic is typical big city, allow lots of time. The long term parking is fine and easy. I always catch the shuttle without any hassle. Midway has recently gone through major changes and has streamlined considerably. Welcome to Chicago, enjoy!
