Adams Mark Hotel Philadelphia

Has anyone heard about/stayed here? I am going to a conference there soon and heard it was outside of Philly proper. The ratings of 2.4 doesn't look too promising.
thanks!

I have stayed at 5 different AM properties and try everything I can to avoid them. The 5 I have stayed at were worn and tired... crowd hotels catering to inexpensive groups.

We stayed in the Adams Mark in Jax Florida in March and that was a lovely hotel. It seemed quite new, the room was huge with great service.
One day while we were there a convention came in, the lobby was quite crowded but it made no difference to our stay.
Perhaps it depends on the property.
A 2.4 rating does not sound so good.

The hotel is on the city side of City Line Avenue, which divides Philadelphia from the first ring suburbs in Montgomery County. It's not a great hotel, and because of the location there are not many immediate alternatives. There's a fairly new Hilton, I believe, on the same street. The good news is that if you're able to stay in Center City, it's only a 20-minute or so commute from there to City Line.

The Adam's Mark is actually at City Line Avenue and Monument on the border of Philadelphia and Montogomery County. If you walk across the street your outside of the Philly city limits. I would suggest staying in Center City. There's so much more to do downtown.

Lived in Phila for a long time,, been to the Adam's Mark for a few conferences... DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!

It is dirty, out of town, in a poorly kept area, and really not a place I would ever stay or recommend to stay. It is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Phila... Stay downtown, rent a car and drive out to the conference,,, they have plenty of parking,,, it is about 5 or 7$ per day to park... If you want to see the city or have a nice dinner somewhere in Phila, stay in town,, but do not stay at the Adam's Mark.

feel free toemail me if you need rec's on a place to stay or eat.

Yikes. I have passed the info on for now to the meeting planners and we'll see what transpires. Thanks to everyone for your great input!

Do not stay there! If you must stay very close, stay at the Hilton City Avenue.

Center City is only a 10 minute ride (except during rush hour), around $15 taxi ride, or for $1.30 you can take a bus that stops right in front of hotel.
