Accommodations in Yosemite

Any suggestions for affordable accommodations close to Yosemite National? The few options I found were very expensive. We are 2 adults and 2 teenagers and I am looking for two nights in June.
Thanks,
Claudina

Yosemite View Lodge and Cedar Lodge in El Portal are options - conveniently located not far outside the park boundary on Hwy 140. These are probably the closest lodgings outside the park. Further west on Hwy 140 is the town of Mariposa, which has some budget options. Yosemite Bug Hostel near Midpines (also on Hwy 140) is another budget choice.

At the south end of the park, on Hwy 41, the town of Oakhurst has some budget lodging. It's not far from the southern park boundary, but you have quite a bit of driving to get to Yosemite Valley.

There is a YARTS bus stop at the foot of the driveway at the Yosemite Bug Hostel. They also have a small restaurant there. The YARTS bus also stops in El Portal if you stay there. Usually you have to drive around waiting for a parking space if you drive a car into the Yosemite Valley.
