fivestar: I'm named after the road because that is always the right turn we take when comming into Lahaina. I always park at Hilo Hattie's. While there I "force" myself to buy something like chocolate covered macadamia nuts or Lyon coffee. Ah, the price we pay.
Just hours to go now...

Lahainaluna, EXACTLY what time do you take off and what time will you arrive in Hawaii? So we can count the hours with you...
We're thinking about you, and being jealous of you, girl!!! (I'm imagining you zipping around like a blown-up balloon that someone decided not to tie a knot in and just let go! )

B'Broad, it is so easy to find personal information on peoPle these days that even you could do it. For example, in less than five minutes I found out that your name is Bonnie xxxxxxx, you live in North Raleigh, North Carolina. You are retired and you have one son, and your birthday is June 21. Would you like me to post your full name and address?
I repeat for everyone's benefit, DO NOT DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION ON A FORUM.

That information is not on this forum. You also have a son who lives in New England, you recently visited Boston, and you have a serious weight problem. Want more?
I suggest that you take my advice and not disclose personal information on the internet.

Rosemary1, I am not a stalker but there are stalkers, and identity stealers, and worse out there who just surf the net looking for victims stupid enough to post personal information. I posted some sound advice about the dangers of disclosure of personal information and Bonniebroad chose to make light of it. I think she is doing everybody a major disservice by doing so.

Rusty, you know very well that I am not advocating revealing very personal information on this forum. To think that someone can identify Lahainaluna because she reveals what time her flight leaves the mainland and arrives in the state of Hawaii is utterly ludicrous, and you know it!
Rosemary, Rusty is indulging in his favorite activity on this forum.... I, for one, intend to ignore him now.

I don't like to take sides with anyone when they are having such a great debate without getting as much info as possible to back things up and I must agree with BB that the info that Rusty discloses here is all available on the previous reply's to posts that Bonniebroad has made. I found several references that she made to all of things that you disclose. I find that pretty hard to believe someone can steal an identity just from saying their son lives in New England or they recently visited Boston. Of course no one is going to give their social security number or drivers licence number over a public forum, but I highly doubt that telling someone what time they land in Hawaii is a breach of security. Maybe you worry too much Rusty, I don't know, but you are not the super slueth that you are pretending to be.

Travelinfamily, you are right that someone can't steal someone else's identity simply by knowing one fact such as what city they live in, but it is a start. Once they know what city a person lives in the search has been narrowed down substantially. People stupidly disclose bits and pieces of information about themselves in various places and they don't remember ALL the pieces that they have disclosed - a first name here, a last name there, a reference to a neighborhood somewhere else (such as "I live two blocks from the west end Wal-Mart"). Did you know that if you write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper and it is published then it will probably be on the internet as well? Each piece of information alone is harmless but when it is all put together it is not that hard to find out exactly where someone lives.
Did you find B'Broad's date of birth on this forum? I could give you the year but I would not do that although Bonnie has already done it and probably doesn't know it.
The advice has been offered and you can ignore it if you want. I would not disclose on a public forum my exact time of departure and arrival.

Rusty, it could be easy to figure out my date of birth, which I have no problem with anyone knowing, from comments I've made on this Forum. I don't care because you do not have a clue as to who I really am. So stop pretending....... you have not told a single thing about me that I haven't already told myself, and am fine with. Hercule Poirot, you are not!

To all of you going to Hawaii soon:
I feel exactly the same way!! My fiance and I leave for our 2 week honeymoon to Hawaii in a little more than 3 weeks, and it's all I can think about! I am driving my fiance crazy -- I have been planning this for 10 months. Trip planning has become my new obsession -- I have already planned our California trip in February, and I am even researching places for our first anniversary next summer! Having a trip on the horizon gives me something wonderful in life to look forward to. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's always thinking about the next place!

Bonnie, you are one stubborn old broad! Show us all where you disclosed on this forum that your birthday is June 21.
You have posted personal information in a lot more places than this forum. But you will ignore my advice and keep doing so.
