A Wine Festival, a Sheep Festival and Stuck in a Snowstorm at Old Faithful

We debated driving straight home from Winnemucca until we checked the forecast at home which was expected to be over 90 degrees! We have no A/C. Nope, not going home today! A quick search found us a cabin at Reverse Creek Lodge in June Lake and off we went. We made it to June Lake in time for beer and lunch at June Lake Brewing sitting outside in the 60 degree sun. Yep, made the right choice!

Fall aspens
The following morning we headed into Yosemite via Tioga Pass stopping at Tenaya Lake, Olmsted Point and for a black bear before exiting the park and heading home via 140 with one day to spare. It was 93 in Carmel when we arrived home on Friday afternoon but at least it was the final day of the heat wave and started to cool that evening. Our neighbors told us that it had been miserable for weeks so we were glad we missed all of the heat. Thanks everyone for following along!
