A special plan for New Years

We live in Boston, a family of five. We would love to do something exciting for New Years. I have looked into carribean travel, but all flights are sold out or outrageously expensive. That said, does anyone have any Great ideas of places we could drive to. A Great hotel, city, etc. The kids are 11,14 and 19.

Take the train to Lawrence, MA and the rest of the new year will seem perfect.

Being this close to NYC, this seems like a no brainer. We (family of 5) are traveling from San Francisco. Coming from Boston, it's got to be a lot easier. Enjoy one of the good plays, walk the streets, eat the great food and watch the ball fall. You and your kids will never forget it....nothing like it in this world. Your kids will remember it for the rest of their lives.
