6 yr old/Disney World/What to Pack?
My 6 year old daughter is going to Disney World this Saturday for the first time. I have never been there so I am not sure what to pack for her. Is there anything special I need to pack for her? Any advice would be great since I won't be with her to ensure she's alright. Thank you.

Disney! The greatest place on Earth. You haven't given much info but here are a few suggestions. It is very hot this time of year and the lines will be very long. Take a spray bottle, especially the type with a fan. It's fun and it will keep her cool (also great to spray whoever is around her).Second, if she has a gameboy, take that for the lines.
Comfortable shoes, especially comfortable sandles if she has them as some rides are water rides. A hat is a must but we always buy one there. Animal Kingdom is best done EARLY (opens at 7:00AM) The animals are the most active and the lines are the shortest. Magic Kingdom- Fantasy section will be her favorite. MGM can be missed by a 6 year old.
I could give alot more if you have specific questions. We go every year and have a 7 year old.
Enjoy!!!!!

just got back from Disneyworld in May. The spray bottle with a fan is a great suggestion. Buy one at home if you can. the ones at Disney are $20. clothing and shoe suggestions were also great on previous reply. I was suprised that Disney allowed backpacks. We ended up taking in bottled water and little snacks. I saw some people with sandwiches. MUST NOT FORGET to bring or buy an autograph book and pen. You can buy them there for $5.00. Have a great time!!!!
p.s. do you live in the Houston area?

All of the above suggestions are great. We returned from Disney 2 weeks ago, make sure you send a large bottle of waterproof sunscreen and make sure this is applied to your daughter at least a couple of times a day and after swimming. We gave our children ages 4 & 7 disposable cameras to take pictures of their favorite things. We did not bring water bottles into the park, the weather is so hot and drinking warm water is not pleasant. Water is very expensive $2.50 a bottle but worth every penny. Make sure she has enough money.
As far as clothing goes, casual is all she will need. Send a sweater or sweatshirt for evening.
