6 nts BI-Four Seasons - what to do

We are spending 6 nights/7 days for our honeymoonon the big island at the Four Seasons. Besides golf one day and some spa appts, we don't have much planned. We want to spend a lot of time laying on the beach relaxing. What are must dos on the BI? Also, where should we eat? We love great food and are not concerned about cost. Thanks!

The Four seasons has the BEST romantic setting and food at their Pahu i'a. Next would be the Conoe House at the Mauna Lani. I would suggest buying The BIg Island Revealed book and start planning activities. This will show u what to do and the best places to eat etc etc. The most complete guide book written by residents.

You could spend the entire time at the resort and be very happy. Everything is wonderful there - food, spa, pools, etc.

Do take a rental car over to Volcanoes for the day. (Long day)

If you are there over a Friday, go to Kona Village (next to the FS) luau. Most authentic in the Islands.

We honeymooned at Four Seasons Hualalai as well! congrats...fabulous resort. Wish we would have spent more time there! We drove around the whole island which was fun, but looong. Definitely go see the volcano's national park and where the lava is flowing into the sea. As for the hotel, really enjoy the spa...spend a couple full days there - one of the nicest I've been to. Enjoy the pool where you can snorkle.
