5 days in Maine - enough time?

Going to visit the east coast of Maine. Concerned about places being closed for the season.

Some places are. If there is a particular place that interests you, check its website or call to see if it is open.

Many attractions and some restaurants (especially clam shack and lobster pound type spots) will have closed as of Columbus Day or perhaps earlier. The primary exceptions will be in Portland (though historic homes will likely have closed here) and Acadia National Park (but no vouching for whether the park will be snow-free or not, which might impact some areas).

Research suggests also that the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden (Boothbay), the Abbe Museum (Bar Harbor), Farnsworth Museum (Rockland), and Owls Head Transportation Museum (Owls Head) will be open in November, but check hours and specific days.

In addition, it's very likely that outlet shopping options such as those in Kittery or Freeport will be open. And chances are you'll be able to walk public beaches or perhaps even Ogunquit's Marginal Way, assuming they're not snowbound.
