Have you been to Vegas before? What's your budget? Where are you staying, or are you still deciding? Have you done any research yet? What do you consider "special?"

Something special? That's kind of broad. A cirque show?

on my husband's 40th- we went to hoover dam- ok, not that exciting but normally i wouldn't have wanted to go and he's an architect so he did! at that time you could still do the hard hat tour and he didn't make me do that. it was very impressive i had to admit and i had been to 47 states so i walked across the top and picked up AZ!

There are SO many great options in Vegas - I LOVE that city.... First, I agree with Stever - a Cirque show is fabulous - they are all good. I still love Mystere the best - but that's just me.... There are WONDERFUL restaurants there. I don't know what you like - but there is just a wonderful selection - anything that Wolfgang Puck has, the Palm, the Voodoo Restaurant on top of the Rio - there's just a whole bunch of them. If you can get tickets (and it's really, really hard to do) - try getting tickets to the Danny Ganz show - my husband worked in Vegas for a year once, and he said that was the best show in town. Tickets are almost impossible to get - but you can try to get them in advance (a long time in advance - but it's worth it)... So many options, so little time.....

Go to a fab restaurant and a show and then party like your 20 again!
Cirque show would be a good..
The Wynn has wonderful restaurants but really most of the hotels have great places to dine.
I would stay at either the Wynn or the Bellagio..first class all the way for that husband.
Have a blast!

Is the food good at the Voodoo Lounge? Is it two separate places, I thought there was also a cafe mentioned somewhere? I've wanted to go there but I don't want to wait in line for the club scene thing. I'll be there for my birthday in a couple of weeks and wouldn't mind spending a few bucks for a nice dinner. We don't usually eat in great places there because we live in NY and we can go to a lot of the restaurants when we're home. Thanks!

Both my husband and I loved KA @ the MGM. He even wanted to see it again on our next trip.

I went right before they charged a cover..can't remember the time since we were drinking.
Great place to have drinks out on the deck with the views..
Where are you going to go for dinner and a show?
