3 nights in New York - what would you do?

Hi all
I will be in NY this June with best friend -we are seeing Hairspray on Tuesday night, but would love some ideas for Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights - some jazz would be good - Blue note? Iridium? Village Vanguard? Some dancing maybe - Coral room? Crobar? Avalon? and of course a bar or two - Campbell Apartment? Pen Top? N?

we are staying near Times Square - the funds are not limitless, but we've come so far, so if it's worth doing then we must! Not really big on going to an expensive restaurant albeit for a great meal - I think there are loads of great budget restaurants around anyway
So, what would you all do with 3 free night?
Looking forward to suggestions and thanks for the help again!

If you don't mind going a bit cross town, you can check out the "Top of the Tower." It is an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge atop the Beekman Tower Hotel, located accross from the UN Building. IMHO, it has some of the best views of the city and East River. Wonderful after dark.

Have a drink at the Ava Garden Lounge on the roof of the Dream Hotel at 55th and 8th. Stunning view and the drink prices weren't outrageous -- $10-$12 range.

Select "AVA Garden" and click on photos.

I believe the Les Paul Trio is back playing at the Iridium on Monday nights. It's a great show.
