"New laws about renting homes"? What the heck does that mean?

Not sure of all the details because we don't rent from private owners, but here's a prior link you may want to look at.

Sweet Caroline, only you know your teens, of course, but mine definitely prefer Maui (yes, Kauai is too low-key for them; they are NOT "hearty partiers", but they prefer poking around shops, restaurants, etc. to hiking in the gorgeous Kauai wilderness).

Regarding the new laws in Maui, actually it's enforcement of an old law pertaining to licensing of homes for rent. If you do a search, there was a long thread about it maybe a month ago.
