The views from hiking trails in the Presidio are amazing. And don’t miss the Bay Bridge at night.

Fort Mason has, I think, the some of the best views of the GG Bridge. Plus some interesting businesses down on the flat part toward the bridge including Green's restaurant.

I love wandering Chinatown for photos. The greengrocers there have some very interesting produce.

Mentioned above, the Bay Bridge can be seen well from the Ferry Building which also has shops & eating places, including Roy Fong's Imperial Tea Court. You can also get on the ferry there and take photos of the bridge from the water while you make your way under it to Jack London Square in Oakland:

If you have the time, head to the Delta to check out the Sandhill Cranes.
