2 days in and around Hyde Park - your favorite things?

Well, I'm going to have to go back! We barely scratched the surface of things to do.
We had a great 4 day mini-vacation. 2 days going in via ferry to see Broadway shows. 2 days in the Hyde Park area.
1st stop = Val-Kill. I LOVED it!
Then a late lunch at the CIA that was wonderful!
Checked into the hotel to rest a bit.
Back to the CIA for a fabulous dinner at the Italian restaurant, Ristorante Caterina de Medici

The next day we woke up to rain. It had been threatening for the entire trip, but finally fell. No Storm King. No walks over the Hudson.
But a wonderful day spent at the Roosevelt House and Museum.
BACK to the CIA for another wonderful lunch at the Apple Pie Cafe. Breakfast had been from the same, purchased at the To-Go side the day before. Bought some more treats and breakfast on my last (fly-out) day was one of the fabulous savory scones.
So, 4 days, 2 Broadway shows (Hamilton and Mockingbird), 2 days of Roosevelt homes, 3 CIA meals on campus and 2 breakfasts enjoying more.
Great trip! I DO plan to return to see all of the things suggested on this thread. MANY thanks for your suggestions!

Glad you enjoyed the visit. Sorry about the rain (though I refuse to take the blame for it). Anyway, you've got to come for a more extended stay in the Hudson Valley and spend time at Storm King, Innsfree Garden and Olana. Plus, you also much include Kykuit, the Rockefeller Mansion in Picantico, just outside of Tarrytown.
