Be sure to go see the manatees at Blue Springs Park in Orange City. It is about 30 minutes north of Altamonte Springs.

Siesta Key is a beautiful destination and reasonable drive.

Florida weather has been exceptionally warm in December.
Often you need to be far south to assure beach temps in January.

If so, Marco Island is an excellent destination and has the southern-most weather pattern. A couple hour further drive.

January is high season at the popular beaches. Check availability and shop pricing before heading out.
