Disney/Old Key West/Saratoga Springs

Hi! I'll be going to WDW in December with my wife and 4 kids ages 9-11. As DVC members, we have a choice of either Old Key West or Saratoga Springs. Any thoughts on which one would be best? Thanks very much in advance!

Haven't stayed at Saratoga Springs yet, but love Old Key West. The 2 bedrooms places have a king size bed (with jacuzzi) and tv in one bedroom, 2 queen beds in the other bedroom (and tv) and then a sleeper sofa. Saratoga Springs probably has the same. Old Key West is older. Saratoga Springs just opened last year and is right next door to Downtown Disney - quick boat ride. Spa services are available at Saratoga Springs - your wife can check out the spa while you and the kids are at Disney Quest

I prefer Old Key West. If you want some really great facts check out a Disney message board at www.wdwinfo,com/chat. There are threads for every property with insights and ideas. There is also a great resort message board where you can get lots of replies on questions. I guarantee there will be people with opinions!!

My wife, daughter and her friend just stayed for several days at Old Key West and we loved it! We own an interest at Saratoga Springs which is newer but I believe that Old Key West, being older costs less as far as amount of points needed to stay (or $$ if you are paying that way).
Both resorts are first rate (as with most anything Disney does) but given the two I really think you would enjoy the OKW resort.

Thanks everyone! I'll check out the
chat boards but it sounds like everybody likes OKW so that's the choice.

We just got back and toured SS while we were there. Having stayed at OKW in the past, I can say that the rooms there are bigger than SS (or any of the other timeshare resorts for that matter). The SS has bigger grounds and a food court which OKW does not (just Olivia's restaurant). Both have nice main pools and quiet pools. SS has a nice lounge area and the spa is right there if you are going to use it. The location is about the same except that you may be able to walk to Downtown Disney from SS.
