In slot canyons such as the Wave, a GPS will not work any better than a cell phone. You must receive at least 4 satellites to get an accurate position.
If you are going to Delicate Arch for sunset, take a headlamp or at least a flashlight for the return trip.
There are several area of "slick rock" that could be tricky in the dark.
Do you really "have to" get back to LV on the 14th?
You may want to spend more time in the Hoover Dam/Lake Meade area.
The hotels in Henderson or out at the Hacienda (Hoover Dam), are a bit cheaper and are great for one night.

The Vermilion Cliffs area is a very special place on earth. It is stunning as well as dangerous especially in the hot months.
I just visited the area in late March, and it was a gorgeous day. It was chilly in the morning but the area heated up so fast by noon. It was a 40 degrees difference between the early morning and the afternoon. Water and good orientation skill are essentials for this area.
I had been to the area twice, driving the House Rock Valley dirt rood will need a high clearence vehicle especially to the Coyote Buttes South area. Do your research on the area, it is really a wilderness area. You will also need a pemit to the Coyote Buttes South.
Do not take it lightly when you go to these places. Be prepare and enjoy the challenge, most important be safe!

The Wave - The odds of winning are about 11:1. I've lost now 10 time in a row for the past year. Not a problem as I've been there before.
It is in the North Coyote Buttes. If you don't win, then immediately sign up for the 10:00 AM South Coyote Buttes and see that Wave (no trails). Trailhead is on House Rock Road at Lone Tree Road #1079 east. N36 54.882 W112 03.094. If you have a 4WD (wheel drive) you can drive to the trailhead; otherwise, walk in sand for about 2.5 km. Once there, walk northeast on the road for about 500 meters (guess) (N36 55.425 W112 00.89 and turn left towards the large butte and walk towards the teepees. Walk around the east side of those teepees and continue north along the butte, about 300 yards, where the wave can be seen. The GPS location is N36 55.752 W 112.00.903
This WAVE is NOT as scenic as the THE WAVE because it is spread out over a larger area. About 2 ha. rather than 1 ha.
NOTE: IF you have a 4 WD, highly recommend touring White Pocket. Arrive early or late for best photographs. You can Google for pictures. No permit required. While the road is on sand, it is one of the better sandy roads on Paria Plateau. Access is off House Rock Road on road # 1017 at GPS N36 51.712 W112 03.777)
As for Zion to Moab, suggest this tour book either e-book or print. I use it often.

Note:
Both the Subway and Narrows from top to bottom (from Chamberlain Ranch)requires a permit. These are very difficult to obtain.
While Subway is in the Kolob park area, permits are issued from Zion back country office.
