16 days to LV, Utash trip, last min ??
We will be leaving for LV, Grand Canyon and Utah soon. You guys have been wonderful at sharing information and helping me to put together what I hope is a fantastic trip for DH and I.
I was hoping that you could continue to provide some additional help -
1. We would like to p/u some wine and some liquor before we leave LV on Saturday heading out to the Grand Canyon. Can you recommend a convenient liquor store to stop at on or close to the strip?
2. We would like to stop and p/u some snacks and water for hiking. Is there a Walmart or other such store near the strip or on the way to the Grand Canyon?
3. We will be leaving LV pretty early on Sat morning and plan to stop at Hover Dam and Lake Mead for a quick tour before heading to GC. Can you recommend a good place to have breakfast? (FYI, We will be staying at the Flamingo on friday night.) and lunch along the way?
TIA for your help.

Here are the Wal-Marts in the Las Vegas Area (store #4 looks like an easy place on the way: http://www.walmart.com/cservice/ca_s...t=%2Findex.gsp
There is also one in Kingman, AZ

You don't need to purchase the Saturday supplies in LV. As you are on your way to Hoover Dam you will enter Boulder City. The 2nd stop light you come to will have a Vons supermarket on the right hand side. You can get the supplies there. They sell booze in the store too. Or, instead of going right at that 2nd stop light, go left as you would to Hoover Dam. Immediately after the left hand turn there is an Albertson (or some other big super market) on the right hand side.
Happy shopping.
Happy shopping.
