10 days Grand Teton

Hello,

We are planning 10 days in the Jackson / Grand Teton area. We know that temperatures
are variable when we are going, June 1-10, but we would like to camp (with our zero degree rated sleeping bags). My questions are: 1. How busy is it in early June?
2. If the weather was really not favorable, would we find lodging available and where should we stay? 3. If you know of any 1-2 night backcountry trips, I would love suggestions.
Thanks!!!

I went to the Grand Tetons many years ago...
I don't remember the specifics of where I camped, but my only suggestion is to visit Jenny lake (within/nearby).
We rented a rowboat and it was so beautiful... it's like being in a big puddle that got caught in between soaring mountains surrounding you 360* and a blue sky canopy... was just visually stunning.

My sister takes the Snake River evening float trip every time she is there. The evening is a good time to see wildlife. The guide is very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. She meets them at Moose inside the park.

Hi Liza! You should be fine with your sleeping bags. There may be some rain in June, but the payoff is the abundance of wildflowers! Take your close up lens for your camera.

Early June is not very busy and if necessary you should be able to find lodging at one of the Natl Park lodges or in the town of Jackson where there are many motels. The earlier you check in the day, the better. Room prices go up the more full they get. Wide price range of accomodations available too.

Have a wonderful time, you'll want to go back again and again.

With ten days, you should spend some time in Yellowstone. If it was me I would spend the majority of my time there.
