1 week road trip to nowhere

A friend and I have a week in November to take a road trip with no destination in mind. we are leaving out of Louisville Kentucky. We were thinking about Ontario, the UP, great lakes area, but definitely not set on it. Maybe even maine, new York, I don't know. We haven't even decided north, south, east or west. We wanna keep our plans loose and flexible. We are mid 20's female, and just looking for a scenic route but also some fun night life.

The Michgan UP may be a bit snowy in November and most of the fun towns in Michigan roll up the streets by November. Chicago or Toronto would be fun.

What about DC and Richmond VA? Great nightlife and lots to see and do in both cities.

If you want fun night life, you have listed just about all the unlikely places to find it. That time of year is going to find snow in the north, are you used to driving in it? What do you want to do during the daytime?

Think you need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Okracoke Island in the OBX. Sort of the east end of nowhere.
I have been there in November and saw lots of surf fishing going on.
