3-1-1 Rule - Can I have an EXTRA bag for medications?

Jump to last reply

We are about to take a 3 week trip to Africa and want to do all carry on until we arrive in Nairobi. LAX to SFO to LHR then Nairobi.

I have no problem with putting all of my regular liquids & gels in a quart size bag but have questions about my other liquid medications. Eye drops, prescription nose sprays for allergies, prescription creams etc.

Do I have to have these items in the same ONE QUART bag? Or can I have a separate bag that will include these liquids since they are for medical needs?

I've checked the TSA site and it's a bit vague. Any help would be appreciated - we leave in just 11 days! Thank you!
