This weekend I am going to US with my friends.Trip is for 15 to 20 days.I am afraid how to manage my whole trip as first time i m going to other country.Lots of things have to be arranged.
Packing is headache seriously. What are the things do i need to pack besides cloths?
What are the places to visit in California and new Mexico.I have my relatives over there so i am planning to roam around specially those places.

Ask about US travel on the US board - click on Change Forum above. For my packing list (for trips much longer than yours) see three posts starting here: http://mytimetotravel.wordpress.com/...take-part-one/

There are many excellent packing lists on this site. Use the search function here and you'll be surprised how easy it will be to prepare.

The places you'll visit depends upon what you are interested in. Get a book and read up. Be prepared and you'll have fun. If you take someone else's trip, it will seem like a very long 15 days.

When you are deciding what to pack, remember that if you forget anything or realize you need something you didn't bring, you can buy it here. That should relieve some of the stress. So you don't need to worry about every contingency.

Don't stress!

Even if though it's your first longer trip, I'm sure you've done shorter trips. You basically need the same things, but a bit more clothing. An advantage of visiting relatives is that you can almost certainly use their washing machine.

I don't know where you're coming from, but if the flight is a long one, you might want to think about it as a roadtrip with NO stops. Many people like to take something to read and a light blanket/sheet/scarf to use on board, and you might want to pack some snacks.

As for what to see--if you're just starting to ask that now, you'll only stress yourself out trying to figure it out by the weekend. Better to think about the types of things you're interested in--old West Towns? Raw, sweeping nature? Great spas and restaurants? You might run a couple of quick google searches, but here again, your relatives can save you.

BTW, I think it's great that you're just focusing on one corner this trip. There's plenty to see there, and you can come back for more. Enjoy!
