Honeymoon: Asia or Amazon?
Having a hard time deciding between Brazil/Amazon rainforest and some countries in Asia for a honeymoon. We would like to see nature, including monkeys, parrots, elephants (ideally), strange insects, etc. Also want beautiful beaches for a few days, where you can snorkel off the beach and calm water. My fiance is more interested in city and interesting culture, delicious food, etc. so that would be a requirement as well. I don't want to see animals in zoos- only their natural habitat please! We'd love to stay in interesting hotels such as ones where you can sleep outdoors or over water, in a tree house, etc. We have 14-16 days, will be traveling in the last week of October and first week of November. We have about $9,000 USD to spend but that would have to include airfare from NYC, food, spending money etc.

Been to both for romantic HM Wildlife exotic Best Beaches
http://www.kiwicollection.com/luxury.../phuket-phuket
Your best bet.
www.brazilbeaches.org www.brazilnuts.com also nice
Manaus Iberostar Grand Amazon cruise perhaps and Rio area
perhaps som Florianopolis www.nexussurf.com and Iguazu falls
Go for a falls view room at the Sheraton.
If you go there... Phuket would be best for romance though.
Brazil would win for ease of flights to get there though.
Happy deciding and Congrats!

Haha maybe they both found someone new and we will help out two different couples! I use forums to find updated information and am a fan of the search bar, so my response wasn't really for them and only them. Isn't fresh info good? As in, I may recommend the Amazon and someone in 50 years will see this post (bear with me) and think "yeah, the amazon would be good." But hopefully someone provided new info and would say, the Amazon is no longer that great for weddings as it's been replaced with a Walmart.
