Here are mine in Bosnia & Herzegovina, just so solo female travellers can feel confident in visiting a former war zone...

Another solo trip! (Last year was Australia, but with my three nieces--fun; no solo trip that year.)

I added four days in Moscow on to the end of this, but that will be in the European forum... some time.

This thread is a great idea!

I've been traveling alone to Europe every summer since 2006--to London, Paris, and Rome and other 70 other destinations in between.

I've written extensive travel journals for each of those trips, and posted lots of pictures, too, at:

http://vtprofessor.wordpress.com/

I hope it inspires other women to be bold and go solo. I regret waiting as long as I did. Travel has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!

One of these days I'll do a real trip report. I love traveling solo; am heading out next week. And I like this from a Paul Theroux book: "Being invisible -- the usual condition of the older traveler -- is much more useful than being obvious. You see more, you are not interrupted, you are ignored."

I have finally completed writing about my solo trip to Italy in June 2014. I had an absolute blast. Hope there are helpful tips in my blog or even some inspiration. If you haven't travelled solo and are thinking about it = do it!!

Short solo trip to Buenos Aires included a bicycle excursion, a midnight tango tour and a primo exchange rate:
